Ensure the safety of everyone in your working environment with workplace employee drug testing

The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 came into force in April 2016. The Act states that persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) have a duty to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the workplace is without risks to the health and safety of any person.

An employee under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a hazard to persons in and around the workplace.

Safe Zones can conduct urine drug testing at your workplace in accordance with the AS/NZS4308:2008 Standard using verified testing devices and Collectors qualified with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) 25511 and 25458.

We also conduct alcohol testing using devices compliant with AS3547.

Safe Zones use urine testing in accordance with the standard AS/NZS 4308:2008.

Safe Zones use the Pro-Screen cup with screens for six of the common drugs that can be found in the workplace:

  • Opiates (Opium, Heroin, Morphine, Codeine)
  • Cocaine
  • Benzodiazepine Tranquilizers such as Valium)
